The Plus Minus Next method is a simple, structured tool to help you look back at your week and get ready for the next one. By focusing on what went well, what didn’t go as planned, and where to focus next, this method gives you clear, useful takeaways, without taking up a ton of your time.
You'll see three columns in the template. Here's a quick guide on how to use them:
Plus
Reflect on the past week by noting completed tasks and wins. Take a moment to reflect on what went well.
Minus
Write down what didn't quite work out this week and what you didn’t get around to doing. Look for the root causes of why you didn’t get to do everything you wanted.
Next
Taking what you've learned, plan out your next week by deciding what you'll focus on, how you'll tackle problems, and what you want to achieve for yourself.
You can use the 'Notes' section for reflections, or for writing down things you've learned.
